Biomass is the most renewable input for thermal energy production. However, the industrial sector is still dominated by energy generated from oil and natural gas. It was to change this that the company was founded in 2008. The São Paulo-based company serves the textile, chemical, mining, paper and pulp, and food and beverage sectors – the largest consumer of steam in Brazil – and is a key player in the country's transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy.
The company's work is based on steam generation and the cogeneration of thermal energy with biomass, which contributes to environmental improvements and significant cost reductions for clients in the industrial sector. The sustainability process involved installing the boiler on land ceded by the client for the factory area.
The company then takes care of all stages: Biomass supply; storage and distribution; Steam generation. Steam is supplied through pipelines, eliminating the need for the client to use the boiler, which can be used as a backup. Clients only pay for what they consume, for product delivery, and for the utilization of waste.
